According to the Associated Press, police say they've taken a man into custody in connection with two unattended backpacks found at the Boston Marathon finish line.

Police spokesman Dave Estrada says the backpacks were found Tuesday night, a year after the Boston Marathon attack.

The bomb squad is checking the backpacks found Tuesday. Police have cleared the area. Trains are bypassing the nearby Copley Square station. The police department has been  asking people to avoid the area.

According to CBS Boston, The bag was found just minutes after the Norden brothers, who are survivors of last year’s attack, finished a relay walk along the 26.2 mile course.

Update: Sources say there was a rice cooker in the bag detonated near the marathon finish line and it was full of confetti.
