Body Found at New Bedford’s Fort Taber

Two people walking at Fort Taber Wednesday morning discovered a body. Bristol County D A  Spokesman Greg Milliotte tells WBSM News they are treating it as an unattended death.

The body is described as that of a male estimated to be in his mid 20's and  is dark skinned, possibly of Cape Verdean decent. The medical examiner will conduct an autopsy to determine the cause of death. The DA's office is  asking anyone who might know of a missing person matching that description to call New Bedford police.
