Bishop Stang Wins First Game In Friday Night Football
All of Friday's High School fotball games were played under the lights Friday Night.
In a game featured on WBSM and WBSM.COM, Bishop Stang won its first game of the year with 18-0 over Coyle Cassidy with Quarterback Charlie McKeenman the hero of the game scoring 3 touchdowns with runs of 61 and 80 yards to go along with a 37 yard pass interception. He finished the night with 167 yards on 15 carries.
The Fairhaven Blue Devils beat the Apponquet Lakers 14-7 in a hard fought Homecoming Game.
Wareham crushed Seekonk to keep their league title hopes alive.Darrien Fernandez scored on runs of 7 and 20 yards while Quarterback Anthony Abbott hit 3 of 5 passes for 102 yards...Wareham faces Dighton Rehobeth next week for a shot at the league title.
Great New Bedford Voke Tech was no match for Dighton Rehobeth as the Bears fell 21-7. Voke's only touchdown came on Trevor Menna's 83 yard kick off return.
