The New England Patriots have officially signed wide receiver Chris Hogan, after reports of signing him to an offer sheet came out earlier today.

Due to the fact that Hogan was an unrestricted free agent, the Buffalo Bills had the chance to match any offer sheet that he signed and bring him back for the foreseeable future.

After New England inked the 27-year-old wide out to a three year, $12 million offer sheet this morning, speculation was that the Bills, who had five days to match the offer, would not pony up the money due to limited salary cap flexibility.

The Patriots announced this afternoon that they had officially signed the receiver, after ESPN reported that the Bills had declined the chance to match New England's offer.
