Nothing better than spending some time with friends enjoying a warm summer day with a nice cold cocktail.  

Chef Bob Dillon from the Sail Loft Restaurant in Padanaram share some summer cocktail recipes.  Drinks that everyone will enjoy.

 

Rum Swizzle  ( From the Swizzle Inn Bermuda)

In a 12 oz glass filled with ice add.

1 oz Goslings Black Seal Rum

1 oz Bacardi White Rum

2 oz fresh orange juice

2 oz pineapple juice

1/2 oz Grenadine

4 Dashes of Bitters

2 oz Swizzle Recipe

 

Swizzle Recipe

In a sauce small sauce pan add

2 c of water

2 oz fresh pealed ginger ( sliced thin )

6 whole Star Anise

20 whole All Spice

Bring to a boil and then reduce heat and simmer for 25 minutes.

Add 1 c of Dark Brown Sugar, stir until dissolved.

Chill in Refrigerator, cover after cooled, lasts 2 to 3 weeks

 

 

Watermelon Margarita

2 oz Gold Tequila

1 oz Triple Sec

4 oz sour mix

1 oz orange juice

4 oz Watermelon Puree

Fill a cocktail shaker 2/3 full of ice.

Add all of the ingredients into the cocktail shaker and shake it like you mean it.

Pour into your favorite glass.

Finish with a lime wedge

 

 

Dark and Stormy

In a rocks glass full of ice add

2.5 oz of Goslings Black Seal Rum

4 oz of Goslings Ginger Beer

Lime wedge

 

Do not stir until you look at the Dark and Stormy effect in the glass. (Its how it got it's name.)
