The Democratic Party is making history by backing same-sex marriage as part of its 2012 platform.

Outgoing Massachusetts Congressman Barney Frank says he's glad to see the progress that's being made on the national level.

Frank admits when he first came to Congress in 1980 he was afraid to be honest about his sexuality. Frank says seven years later, he finally found the courage to tell the truth. According to Frank, Massachusetts has had same-sex marriage on the books for eight years despite former Governor Mitt Romney's efforts to block it while he was in office. (Metro)
