Former Congressman Barney Frank does not agree with an adviser to Governor Deval Patrick about his potential to be a temporary U.S. Senator.

Frank tells the "Boston Globe" that he doesn't share the opinion of Doug Rubin, who tweeted over the weekend that there were, quote, "better options" than Frank as a temporary appointee.  Rubin went on to say that, in order to shake up Washington and end gridlock, the people sent to Washington should go, quote, "beyond the traditional names."

Frank believes that his experience in the House would bring valuable leadership into upcoming talks over the debt ceiling and spending cuts that will come in the next few months.
