A Fall River man was sentenced to four years in Federal prison for robbing a bank in Rhode Island last April.

The Herald News reports 28-year-old Cody Toolis pleaded guilty in August and was sentenced on Thursday in Federal Court in Providence.

Police say Toolis entered the Bank Newport branch in Tiverton in April, slipped a note to a teller, and left the bank with $460 in cash.

Investigators say his get-away car matched the description of a vehicle stolen earlier in New Bedford.

Tiverton Police say they posted a picture of the suspect on social media, taken from the bank surveillance tape, and received numerous tips identifying the bank robber.

Toolis surrendered to Police a week later.

In addition to his prison sentence, Toolis was ordered to serve two years of supervised release and must reimburse the bank the $460 he stole.
