Bank Foundation Awards Grants To SouthCoast Schools, Non-Profits

Two schools and five area non-profit agencies are receiving money from the Charitable Foundation of Bristol County Savings Bank. 

Each year the Foundation awards cash to needy agencies in the region, and has doled out more than $9 million since 1996. 

The Global Learning Charter School received just over $7,000 to start a music program.

  Other recepients include the Zeiterion Theatre, the Ocean Explorium, Nativity Prep School, the Schwartz Center, New Bedford Festival Theatre and Horizons for Homeless Children.
