Baltimore Hospital Ranked #1, Boston #2

A list of the best hospitals in the U.S has Johns Hopkins in Baltimore at the top.

The rankings by "U.S. News & World Report" cover nearly 5,000 medical centers around the U.S. and span 16 medical specialties.

Johns Hopkins reclaimed the top spot after losing it in 2012 to Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, which came in second place this year. The rankings are based on such things as patient survival rates and nurse staffing levels.

Rounding out the top five hospitals are Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN; Cleveland Clinic and UCLA Medical Center.
