Governor Charlie Baker told Southcoast business leaders on Thursday, his administration is committed to improving the economic climate across the Commonwealth.

Speaking at the Chamber's annual Legislative Luncheon at the Hawthorn Country Club in Dartmouth, Baker said comparing the Boston economy to other parts of the state is like night and day.

"We do not want to do anythng that disables whatever it is that's working in Greater Boston, but we also have to enable the rest of the Commonwealth to deliver the same kind of economic success we see in Greater Boston", said the Governor.

Baker also said his administration will put a greater focus on workforce training, to improve the skills of local workers. The governor also committed to continuing the planning and permitting for Southcoast Rail.
