Baby Attacked By Pit Bull In Fall River
A baby was attacked by a pitbull in Fall River on Tuesday.
The family tells ABC6 the attack occurred in their Orange St. home when the dog latched onto the child's head for several minutes before being pulled off.
As a result of the attack the baby's ear was partially severed and there was cutting on the back of the baby's head.
The child was rushed to Hasbro Children's Hospital for treatment and ABC6 says her injuries do not appear to be life threatening.
Animal Control Officers took custody of the pit bull.
The family says the dog isn't usually violent, but is jealous of the baby.
