A New Bedford man who lead police in a vehicle chase on March 12, 2014 will spend seven to nine years in state prison.

Gregg Miliote, a spokesman with the Bristol County District Attorney's office, says Harry Parson plead guilty Wednesday in Fall River Superior Court to charges of Breaking and Entering to commit a felony and larceny from a building.

Parson was arrested in connection with the break-in at Club Sport Madiera at 1632 Acushnet Ave.

Witnesses reported seeing parson load a safe into a minivan before fleeing the scene around 2:30 a.m. without the van's headlights on.

The van was spotted by a Massachusetts State Trooper who attempted to pull it over.

Parson refused to pull over and lead police on a chase that ended when Parson bailed out of the vehicle on Austin St. and fled on foot.

He was later tracked down and apprehended by police.

Parson will also undergo two years of supervised probation upon his release.
