More information on the fate of the ISIS terrorist known as "Jihadi John" could come out today.

The Kuwaiti-born Briton was targeted by a U.S. drone strike yesterday in northern Syria. British Prime Minister David Cameron confirmed today that it was a joint operation.

He called "Jihadi John," whose real name is Mohammed Emwazi, a "barbarian" and said going after him was the right thing to do.

The notorious terrorist has appeared in several videos beheading Western hostages, including two American journalists - James Foley and Steven Sotloff.

Overnight, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said a British ISIS leader and three other foreign fighters had been killed in the airstrikes.

The monitoring group said the car they were riding in was blown up. However, they did not identify the British national specifically as "Jihadi John."

The last word out of the Pentagon yesterday came from spokesman Peter Cook, who said the effectiveness of the drone strike is still being determined.
