Jack Peterson, AKA Captain Jack, is one of WBSM's most versatile personalities. Jack is equally at home doing the play by play of high school football and basketball, gathering, writing and broadcasting news, or filling in for WBSM talk show hosts. A 51 year broadcast veteran, Jack started his career in Lowell, MA as a DJ and has been on the air in New Bedford for the past 34 years. He has also been Master of Ceremonies at many local charity events including the United Way awards banquet, Special Olympics and the Otto Graham and Dave Cowens Achievement Awards. His hobbies include sports (watching, not playing), reading and the entertainment industry. Jack has lived in New Bedford with his wife of 28 years, Lynne (AKA 1st Mate Lynnie), with their 11 year old Beagle/Foxhound/Pointer/Lab mix dog, Chloe .
