Everybody knows WBSM is our hometown radio station. My broadcast roots here date back to 2009. My familial seeds were planted at the tail end of the last century. Yet, I cast myself as the proverbial outsider. Most listeners get flustered and frustrated over my freedom-oriented, constitutional, often contrarian rants, but I’m OK when their freedom or livelihood is at risk. Call me a passionate Libertarian, always advocating for the taxpayer and individualism. My bitcoin-business updates alert listeners on how to earn crypto and use it as a savings and payment tool. After retiring from full-time hosting, I still practice my preach. You'll find me operating two home businesses, actively promoting freedom and bitcoin, plus serving as a locally elected Dartmouth Town Meeting member. I’m most proud watching my two adult sons pursue their American dream. Mine consists of traveling, and learning more about places, people and the business side of bitcoin. My 40-foot shuttle bus is being converted into a motorhome-office studio, so I can travel, expand operations and host audio and video shows from wherever home is at that moment. I call it living my “Plan B” lifestyle!

[THOMAS] Ussach Says The City Needs The Money
Funny how folks belly-ache over high property taxes, yet cherish their pet projects. Case in point, New Bedford Ward 3 City Council candidate Jill Marie Ussach who chimes her property taxes are exorbitant. That part she gets. However, the former School Committee member has funding plans for schools and other projects plus desires to deliver nice tax breaks for businesses as bait to lure them to ne
[THOMAS] Candidate Dehner is Right, Chuck The Residency Law
Waiver, after waiver after waiver. That's what the Mayor requests and the New Bedford City Council usually says yes. Former Ward 3 councilor Kathy Dehner is all to familiar with acquiescing to residency waivers. Candidate Dehner seems to agree with me, it may be time to get rid of the city's antiquated residency law...
[THOMAS] Guy LaRock Says No To Sanctuary City Status
A huge thumbs up to Ward 3 New Bedford City Council candidate Guy LaRock who claims he doesn't want New Bedford to become a sanctuary city. The city is way too dependent on federal dollars. If the Trump administration penalizes sanctuary cities, New Bedford could not pay it's bills...
[THOMAS] Filling In For Phil
The clocks advance one hour and Phil is taking a well deserved vacation. I will be pinch hitting, Monday-Friday, with Chris McCarthy similarly hustling the bases during my shift. Too bad the weather ain't on our side!
I come endowed with decaf green tea, oatmeal and the percolating pleasure of interviewing all six Ward 3 New Bedford City Council candidates, 3/13-17...
[THOMAS] Mr. Governor, How Dare You Fund Planned Parenthood
The GOP led Congress is moving to defund Planned Parenthood. Now, Governor Baker wants to use $2M of our hard earned state tax dollars to surplant the fed tax dollars if they vanish.
This is not an issue about pro-life/pro-choice. It's about alleged crimes at the risk of the unborn...
[THOMAS] Looks Like Another Bogus Travel Ban [Poll]
Nobody will fault this President for his persistence. President Trump signed Travel Ban 2, a new executive order the White House claims is an effort to protect Americans.
If there's an urgency to save us from the merciless Muslims, why is this second order coming out so late...
[THOMAS] Use The Military Before A Wall [Poll]
For the sake of conversation, let's say the threat is absolutely real. It is imminent. There's no ifs, ands or buts about it. The U. S. government has can prove drug cartels are flooding the nation with heroin, fentanyl, cocaine and other drugs...
[THOMAS] New Bedford High School Grads Making the Grade
Congrats to the 2016 graduates and staff at New Bedford High School. 71% of last year's class, that entered four years prior, made the grade and graduated. Here's the ticket: Massive growth in the number of English Language Learner graduates, from 35% in 2015 up to 60%...
[THOMAS] Becoming Aware Of Immigrants Positive Contributions
Looks like week 3 of the Trump presidency will feature yet another series protests. February 16 may forever be remembered as Immigrant Awareness Day. It's really called a day without immigrants, featuring a work stoppage, no sales and peaceful protests all waged against President Trump's immigration and refugee executive order

[THOMAS] No To The Millionaire Tax [Poll]
Money! Money. State lawmakers want your money. This particular time they've set their sights on the Commonwealth's fifteen thousand plus millionaires and billionaires.
Some time during the legislative session, the State Representatives and Senators will take up a Constitutional Amendment proposal to add a graduated tax to Baystaters earning more than one million dollars per year
