Assault Weapon Scare in Acushnet

Acushnet Police have seized three replica pellet guns in the town.

According to police, officers investigating reports of people with assault rifles on Hope street around 2:40pm Monday found two adult males and a juvenile in a backyard with replica pellet guns.

Two of the three weapons seized bear a striking resemblance to actual assault weapons.

No arrests were made.
