Armed Robbery Attempt In New Bedford

New Bedford Police are searching for a suspect after an attempted robbery Tuesday night.

Detective Captain Steven Vicente says a man, armed with a knife, entered the Royal Food and Deli at 606 Summer Street at 7:20 p.m. and demanded money.

The clerk refused to give the suspect any money and the suspect then left the store without taking anything.

The suspect is described as a six foot tall man, wearing jeans, black and white sneakers, a black hooded sweatshirt, and a camouflage mask.
