Area Families Ring In New Year At “City Celebrates”

City Celebrates is a family-friendly event that brings lots of out-of-towners to Downtown New Bedford, to enjoy, the sights and sounds of New Year's Eve.  Lakeville residents Trudi Wood and her husband are "regulars" at City Celebrates in New Bedford.

Tricia Weaver of Mattapoisett, and her two children, Drew and Cameron started celebrating early in Downtown New Bedford....

Hundreds of people also enjoyed live music at various venues and cheered a fireworks display at Custom House Square.
