Apparent Drowning Investigation In Wareham

Wareham Police are investigating an apparent drowning in waters off Sias Point in Onset.

Emergency crews were called to the scene Monday afternoon around four, after an area resident spotting an adult male floating in the water.  The man was brought to the shore and treated at the scene.  He was then transported to Tobey Hospital were he was pronounced dead.

Interim Police Chief Kevin Walsh tells WBSM News, Police have not released the victim's name, but a preliminary investigation shows no signs of foul .play.
