A Westport man is now a millionaire.

The Massachusetts State Lottery announced that Tiberio Silva is the twenty-fourth $1 million prize winner in the “Platinum Millions” instant game.

Lottery officials say Silva chose the cash option and received a one-time payment of $650,000 before taxes.

Silva says he plans to use to buy a house and a new car for his wife.

Gridiron Sports Bar, at 2416 GAR Highway in Swansea, where the winning ticket was sold, will receive a $10,000 bonus.

Silva wasn't the only Southcoast lottery winner with officials reporting that a MassCash ticket sold at Sunset Variety, at 508 Bowen St. in Fall River, won $100,000 in last night's drawing.

Another winning ticket was sold at Stop and Shop at 1415 Providence Highway in Norwood.
