Another Massachusetts Marine Killed in Action, Coming Home

Another Massachusetts marine who was killed in Afghanistan is being brought home for the final time.

The body of Sgt. Daniel Vasselian is scheduled to return to Massachusetts on Tuesday. His body will be escorted by police from Logan International Airport to his hometown.

A funeral Mass will be held Jan. 2 at St. Bridget Church in Abington followed by burial at Mount Vernon Cemetery.

The 27-year-old Vasselian was killed in combat in Helmand province last week. He had just celebrated his fourth wedding anniversary on Dec. 19.
