The man behind the website VoteForTheWorst.com  says he is shutting it down after the current season of "American Idol," because he says the show is "no longer relevant" enough to be worth his time.

The site has been around since Season Three in 2004, but is probably best remembered for 2007's campaign to help Sanjaya Malakar.

Creator Dave Della Terza says , "They say when your critics stop talking about you, you're finished.  We've been 'Idol's' biggest critic, but we're leaving before we get completely bored with a show that really should've bowed out gracefully a few years ago."

Do you plan to watch the new "American Idol?" It premieres Wednesday night on Fox.
