Alexandria Shooter Asked if Congressmen Practicing Baseball Were GOP or Democrat
Alexandria, Virginia — A Republican congressional leader and two Capitol police officers reportedly are being treated after they were shot this morning. It happened at a baseball field in suburban Alexandria, Virginia just outside Washington.
GOP House Majority Whip Steve Scalise of Louisiana was shot. Republican Congressman Mo Brooks of Alabama says two members of the lawmakers' security detail were shot as they returned fire. There are conflicting reports on which agency those officers are with.
