Air Checked At Oxford School in Fairhaven

The Oxford School in Fairhaven is close to opening once again. Environmental tests were done yesterday.

The results won't be known until Wednesday. Superintendent of Schools Dr. Robert Baldwin tells WBSM News the environmental experts, who are working on re-mediating the building,  agree that the school department is taking the right steps to clean the air in the building.

More tests will be done Wednesday and if those results prove to be acceptable,  the school will open next Tuesday. Dr. Baldwin adds today's first day of school for the rest of Fairhaven's students was a smooth one with no reported problems.
