An Acushnet father and son are headed to state prison after being convicted in connection with a brutal assault in May, 2011.  Christopher and Jacobs Adams were both found guilty on assault charges earlier this month in Fall River Superior Court. 

Judge Lloyd Mcdonald Wednesday sentenced 55 year old Christopher Adams to 2 1/2 to three years in state prison.  Jacob Adams 28, was sentenced to four to five years.  The District Attorney's office had sought 7-10 year sentences for both men. 

The Adams' were found guilty in the beating of 27 year old Gary Medeiros, beleiving he had stolen $1,900 from the family home.  Medeiros was beaten so severely, he still requires around the clock care
