A Middleboro mother is seriously injured following a single car accident in town over the weekend.

The accident occurred Saturday night just after eight o'clock when police received several calls that a car had struck a tree in the area of Rocky and Tispaquin Streets. 33-year old Brittany Locantore O'Keefe was in the vehicle with her three children ages 2 1/2, 6 1/2, and 10 1/2.

The children were restrained either by car seats, booster seats and seat belts. The vehicle sustained extensive damage to the front end. O'Keefe was extricated from the vehicle by Middleboro firefighters and airlifted to Tufts Medical Center in Boston. All three children were taken by ambulance to Jordan Hospital in Plymouth for treatment.
