The City of New Bedford has joined with its state and federal partners to revitalize another home in the West End, this time at 36 Liberty Street.

Mayor Jon Mitchell and Attorney General Maura Healey toured the renovated property, which was originally built in 1899.

The Attorney General's Receivership Program was one of the partners in the project, and the A-G was thrilled with the end result.

"They were able to take through this program a property that was blighted and in terrible decay and turn it into this wonderful home," said Healey.

The single family home is across the street from the newly refurbished Harrington Park, and a block away from the Hathaway School.

The property will be sold to a first time home buyer who is income-eligible.
