On Tuesday, March 8 at 8 am, preeminent radio host of WGBH's A St. Patrick's Day Celtic Sojourn, Brian O'Donovan, joins me to talk about the 11th Anniversary season of the most inspiring Irish music and dance celebration coming to the Zeiterion Theatre, Friday, March 17 at 8 pm. Influenced by the popular weekly public radio program, A Celtic Sojourn, this year's performances include artists from across Celtic cultures and traditions!

Over the years, Brian O'Donovan has introduced a wide range of musicians and dancers, both young stars and legends of the genre, to audiences eager to enjoy the holiday in true Irish style. This year Keith Murphy, founding member of the trio Nightingale and a mainstay of the Boston fiddle group, Childsplay, reprises his role as Music Director. Joining him is The Outside track, a dynamic young band with members hailing from across the Celtic world.

The show also features Matthew Byrne, a singer from Newfoundland, whose striking ability to interpret traditional songs with modern relevance, has earned him much deserved praise. The program will also spotlights Joey Abarta, one of the country's foremost Uilleann pipers, young 13 year-old fiddle player Haley Richardson, already winning awards and Kevin Doyle, a renowned Irish dancer, who was invited to perform last St. Patrick's Day at the White House, and the Miller Family, fresh off their appearance at the World Irish Dancing Championships. Good seats still available at 508-994-2900 or at www.zeiterion.org
