Paula Deen made her first public appearance since the controversy of her allegations of using racial slurs in the past. She was very apologetic, and grateful for the people who are still on her side.

Last week Paula Deen made headlines when a former employee came out and said that she often used racial slurs, and Deen herself said that she had used the 'N-word' in the past.

Matt Lauer asked her flat out if she was a racist, and she said no despite using the 'N-word' only that one time. Deen said that her father raised her to not be better then anyone else. She was also asked about the racist jokes that she told, and the line that she said the she 'couldn't determine what would offend another person'.

Deen was dropped by the Food Network over the weekend, and she begged the public for forgiveness.
