A Medical First For Southcoast Health Systems

Southcoast Health Systems has announced a medical-first in our area.  Southcoast says Charlton Memorial Hospital in Fall River has become the first hospital in Massachusetts and Rhode Island to successfully implant a mini I-C-D or tiny defibrilator.

The mini I-C-D is the worlds smallest and thinnest difibrilator, used to treat arrhythmias of the heart, while improving patient comfort.
