A fundraising walk is being held this weekend in Fairhaven.

The 4th annual Katie Brienzo Memorial Walk to benefit M.O., L.I.F.E. begins Saturday morning. The walk is in memory of Katie Brienzo, who was killed in a hit and run accident on Sconticut Neck Road in 2011.

Ivan Brito, Chief Operating Officer at M.O., L.I.F.E. says Katie was a vibrant young woman who wanted to help others who faced the same challenges as her. "She was involved in the community. She volunteered. She started a group that was for advocacy to help other individuals with developmental disabilities. She was just full of a lot of life and really enjoyed herself," said Brito.

Registration begins at 11am Saturday morning at the Our Lady of Angels Campground on Jesse Street in Fairhaven.
