‘2016: Obama’s America’ Does Very Well In Theaters
The documentary about how the world would be affected if Barack Obama were elected again pulled in some big numbers at the box office over the weekend.
People first began seeing this anti-Barack Obama movie pop up in small theaters around the country about a month ago. Now, as we draw closer to election season - and Mitt Romney's numbers grow - more theaters are picking it up, including the Dartmouth Theater.
The film pulled in $6.3 million this weekend, making it's total earnings just under $10 million, so far. It beat the current record holder for a documentary this year, which was 'Bully'. That film pulled in $3.5 million.
