$160K In Funding For Arts And History In New Bedford

Over $160,000 in state grant money will be flowing into downtown New Bedford. The grants are being awarded by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, and were announced by State Representative Antonio Cabral.

New Bedford’s nonprofit grant awards include:

• $33,750 for AHA!;
• $29,400 for the New Bedford Whaling Museum;
• $19,700 for Zeiterion Theatre, Inc.;
• $5,800 for ArtWorks!;
• $4,700 for the Rotch-Jones-Duff House and Garden Museum;
• $3,600 for Spinner Publications, Inc.;
• $3,600 for the Waterfront Historic Area League;
• And $2,500 for the New Bedford Historical Society.

The New Bedford Cultural Council is also receiving $63,590 to support additional local arts and history projects.
