1 Dead, 1 Injured in Providence Shooting

One man was killed and another critically injured after a shooting following a party in Providence.

WLNE-TV reports Providence police officers responded to reports of a disturbance on Henry Street just after midnight Friday.

Police Maj. David Lapatin tells the station that officers found a 20-year-old man dead and a 23-year-old man critically injured.

The identity of the deceased man has not been released.

The Providence Journal reports the shooting occurred following an argument at a July Fourth party on Henry Street.

The investigation is ongoing and no arrests have been made.
